Admissions
Dear Parent,
Thank you for your interest in Desert Montessori School, a warm and stimulating environment for children ages 2 - 12 years old. One of life’s most satisfying and long-lasting lessons is for a young child to experience his or her capabilities in a respectful and attentive environment.
We are dedicated to introducing meaningful creative opportunities where children explore, develop, integrate and expand to their fullest potential. Our curriculum is sequentially designed, enhancing a child’s current abilities and expanding to wider interests and perspectives.
We offer rolling admission to many of our programs. Please note that students must be two years old at the time of enrollment to attend DMS. We invite applicants to visit the classrooms into which they would be enrolling. Applicant visits vary in length, depending on the age of the child and the grade for which they are applying.
The admissions process at Desert Montessori School, briefly described, is as follows:
- Open house or tour of school for parent (no children on this visit, please)
- Submit required application forms (and school transcripts, if applicable)
- Schedule applicant visit
- Together we determine if our school is a fit for your family
We are pleased to offer the following enrollment options for the 2010-2011 school year:
- PreSchool classrooms (ages 2 through 6, includes Kindergarten)

- Four-day option, Monday-Thursday $7,500
- Five-day option, Monday-Friday $8,200
- Lower Elementary (grades 1 and 2) $8,800
- Middle & Upper Elementary (grades 3 through 6) $9,700
Our school day is 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for all students. Morning drop off begins at 8:00 a.m.
